As the World Cup kicks
off join us as we take a look at how the lives of some of football's
finest compare to those in the rap game.

1. Rapper vs footballer: Who has the better cars?
Mario Balotelli has a handful of pretty impressing cars, including the pictured camouflage Bently, a red Ferrari and he splashed out €142,400 on a black Audi R8 V10 only to famously crash it a couple of years later. But the man that gives Balotelli the biggest run for his money is none other than Rick Ross, whose Instagram account you could confuse for a luxury car showroom's one.

2. Rapper vs footballer: Who has the biggest net worth?
You would've had to of spent the last month under a rock to not know who hip-hop's richest artist was – Dr Dre's deal with Apple and his Beats Electronics company had bumped his net worth up to somewhere between the $700 million and $800 million (what's a hundred million anyway?) In comparison, the world's highest paid footballer Critiano Ronaldo reportedly has a net worth of approximately $150 million, with $49 of the millions coming from salary and bonus alone.

3. Rapper vs footballer: Do they travel in style?
Put it this way, whether it is their own private jet, their 'tour jet' or an airplane courtesy of the England team, none of these guys are getting the bus anywhere
-
4. Rapper vs footballer: Who has connections in highest places?
You can't have friends in higher places than The White House – in fact, the White House's main man and most powerful man in the world Barack Obama. Jay Z is best buds with the pres, having been at his inauguration where wife Beyonce performed, and Beckham has met him at sporting events, but we doubt he has Barack's number in his phone. Jay Z wins this won for the rappers.

5. Rapper vs footballer: Whose trainer collection wins?
24-year-old Liverpool player Daniel Sturridge recently shared a picture showing off his Nike Air Yeezy 2's, which sold out in 11 minutes when released earlier this year for a retail price of $245. They are now going for thousands on eBay, so it's pretty impressive that Sturridge managed to bag a pair. But what's even more impressive? Being the man whose name is on them.

6. Rapper vs footballer: How do their properties match up?
The most famous house in footballing history is of course 'Beckingham Palace' (pictured.) They have since moved out to a £30 million four-storey home in central London. Comparatively, Kanye West reportedly spent $10.75 million on the Bel Air mansion pictured. Neither footballer nor rapper are living anything less than a lavish lifestyle…

7. Rapper vs footballer: What's their fan base like?
One might be for singing and one for kicking, but both have fan groups bigger than you could imagine and manage to sell out stadiums several times over because of it.
-
8. Rapper vs footballer: Who gets the biggest endorsements?
This one is pretty much a level playing field with footballers and rappers endorsing everything from drinks to underwear to supermarkets! Both rappers and footballers tend to make just as much if not more money from their modelling and side endorsements.
-
9. Rapper vs footballer: How do their salaries compare?
It's hard to compare the salaries of footballers and rappers, as the latter obviously don't get paid a weekly wage. But to give you an idea consider this; Wayne Rooney reportedly earns a weekly wage of £300,000 (approx. $593,244.) Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj reportedly charges $150,000 per show, plus record sales, endorsement deals etc… We can't keep count. But they both earn a ridiculous amount.

10. Rapper vs footballer: How they spend down time
A quick look at any rapper or football players Instagram will tell you that none are short of a big screen TV and some game consoles. Drizzy and Ashley Cole, both pictured above, often show fans what they get up to when they're not at work.
